About the Role

- Working in a team comprised of high calibre graduate pricing/statistical analysts, creating value by adding insight fromdata resources
- Understanding the needsfor risk and propensity models
- Contributing to the delivery of pricing models and base rates toCommercial Underwriting and associated distribution channels
- Assisting with in-depth statistical research into complex data sets, often with sparse data, in order to support the rating ofCommercial products. Leading such research according to experience
- Design and develop complex, fit for purpose pricing & risk cost models forCommercial lines business
- Create and assist the implementation of pricing synergies and identify financial benefits across Underwriting
- Ensure that complex statistical models meet current commercial needs
- Propose changes to risk models from business contacts
- Maximise technical expertise in support of agreed business objectives

Study support package will be offered for the right candidate


- Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent content
- Progress towards ACII or FIA preferred
- Experience of UK General Insurance pricing in a market rate setting role
- Knowledge of statistical modelling
- Use of software tools such as Emblem or other GLM packages preferred
- Proficient in Excel Experience of programming in SAS and/or SQL preferred

As the IT Procurement Negotiator, you will be dealing with all parts of IT procurement from invitation to tender through to supplier relationship management. With the emphasis on negotiation, you will be working with the senior stakeholders to build the procurement name and to identify where improvements can be made made in both cost and service delivery. You will also be looking at compliance and risk mitigation and be dealing with various projects at one time. You will be looking at third party contracts in the region of £22m with 600 contracts ranging from £100 through to £12m.
The successful IT Procurement Negotiator will have an in-depth knowledge of IT Contracts and the negotiation of these. With a natural talent for talking to people of various different levels of seniority, you will have a proven track record of cost savings as well as improving service levels.m You will have also worked in a best practice procurement function and understand all aspects of strategic procurement. Other requirements include:
