CCAB qualified finance professional with project management experience required for immediate start to support the Project Manager in delivering the Amnesty International (“AI”) Common Accounting Framework Project.
This role will enable you to make real improvements to the quality of financial information used for decision making on how AI's human rights work is resourced and hence enhance delivery of the movement's human rights goals.
About the role
To ensure that AI's strategic aims for global internal financial reporting are fulfilled, the movement has commissioned the Common Accounting Framework Project to:
- Develop and implement a common accounting framework for the global movement to include a common chart of accounts, common accounting policies, common accounting definitions and common year ends;
- Develop key performance indicators to be used for movement-wide financial monitoring;
- Develop model reporting structures and formats to enable the generation of data required for assessing performance;
- Investigate and review technical tools for delivery of management information required by the movement to monitor and improve performance, including global consolidation reporting software; and
- Implement an agreed annual internal financial reporting timetable
This role is a 24 month fixed term contract.
About you
The ability to plan, implement and coordinate your own work in response to demand and project management experience is critical to this role to ensure that the Common Accounting Framework Project is delivered on time and within budget. The ability to communicate effectively with finance officers across the global movement and with senior management at the International Secretariat is also crucial.
